What am I doing wrong?

I don't know if it is my camera, my lens, or the operator. My pictures are terrible lately. Sometimes my lens will NOT Auto Focus and I have to take it off and then put it back on. The focus is never Tack Sharp. Maybe it is because the sensor is dirty? I don't know, but it is driving me crazy! Please ignore the composition in these and that my girls need their hair brushed. Of course they were wanting their pictures taken before getting dressed for the day. HARD CC is appreciated. I need help and adly. The color is off I think. Thanks!

They look good to me too, but I'm not an expert. I'm going to try and check back and see what others say, so I can learn too.
(PS just so you know, your word verification thingy is turned on. Lots of times, people don't realize there's is on.)

I am not an expert, but I think they are beautiful. I really love the color as well...your girls are so stunning...their eyes are just out of this world and it seems like you got sharp shots to me.

These look pretty sharp on my screen. Your daughters are cute as can be, and I love the one with her hair over one eye. Very cute

Focus is a constant struggle for me too, so I'm no help, but I'm interested to see what others have to say.

Your kids are gorgeous! I agree, the colors look amazing here- nice and warm. I love that green behind your dd in the 2nd shot!

Your focus doesn't look too off to me either... what lens are you using? I struggled with getting "tack sharp" focus forever until I upgraded my lens...

I think they look great! I think in the first one, the focus fell on to the floor, so her face might be slightly softer; and on the rocking horse, ambe on the little pj's. Can you post your settings, and how you are focusing? Are you recomposing your shot, using your points of focus, back button or auto?
I think these look great!

Try cleaning the sensor to see if you like your results better (although these certainly don't look soft.) Did you sharpen for web? Your color looks great on my monitor, maybe you're being too hard on yourself?
